Joyce Johnson – Executive Director

Joyce Johnson leads the RSB team as its Executive Director. She has more than 30 years experience managing organizational change and growth. Her background includes serving as Executive Director for two Indiana non-profit organizations, including Starfish Initiative, a college access program that mentors promising high school students from low-income families who aspire to continue their education, yet face many challenges.

Johnson was Vice-President of the Greater Educational Opportunities Foundation where she directed a federally funded Parent Information & Resource Center and the Charter School Services Center.

She is the editor of “Key Things Parents Should Know about Education in Indiana,” published in 2004. A former home educator, she was founder and Executive Director of the Indiana Association of Home Educators.
