Become A Coach
During this fun, interactive hands-on seminar, you will learn how intense exercise impacts Parkinson’s.
Live from a boxing gym in Indianapolis, some of the toughest fighters in the nation take on a single opponent and reigning champ – Parkinson’s disease, cause unknown and as yet, undefeated.
Rock Steady Boxing’s goal is to educate as many people as possible about the benefits of intense exercise and the Rock Steady Method, and to increase the number of safe and welcoming places for people with Parkinson’s to exercise.
Training Camp provides an overview of Parkinson’s disease and beginner boxing technique. Don’t worry, you don’t need to be a boxer to come to Camp! The course includes both classroom instruction as well as hands-on training in our Parkinson’s classes. Coaches learn how to conduct a class and scale for every ability level. To attend, Coaches should be at least 18 years of age and must attend the entire two-day seminar to be eligible for coaching certification.
At the completion of Training Camp you will be certified to teach the “Rock Steady Method” in your own community. Rock Steady Coaches also have the option of becoming official Rock Steady Boxing Affiliates and joining the national movement in the fight against Parkinson’s disease.
